5th Polish Forum For Non-Governmental Initiatives

5th Polish Forum For Non-Governmental Initiatives organized by the Association for the Forum for Non-Governmental Initiatives has been held in from 13th to 20th of September in Warsaw. Many meetings and events attended by over 10000 participants have taken place during the Forum.

The Citizens’ Week has been started with The Social Advertising Review In the Muranów Cinema. Within the “Civic Cafés” program there have taken place 28 meetings in 17 cafés and clubs, that have been visited by about 300 people- representatives of NGOs and business, journalists and citizens. In the streets of Warsaw there have been organized 3 expositions, seen by several hundred of people. First exhibition was open at one of the main passages in Warsaw- the Stefan Wiechecki Passage, second at the Krakowskie Przedmieście street,  and the third one in the Warsaw Central Rail Station.

The Picnic of Non-Governmental Organizations, that has taken place on 20th September at the Krakowskie Przedmiescie street was a summary of the Civic Week. More than 100 organizations from throughout Poland have represented there their activity. On the same day there has taken place a negotiation game for the middle school students, and the urban game “From the patrician democracy to the civil society”, organized with the participation of the Stefan Starzyński Institute.

Simultaneously from September 19th to 20th on the University of Warsaw campus there has taken place the all-Poland conference “Res Publica Civilis”, in which we hosted over 1200 representatives of NGOs, self-governments, polish government, academia and business environment. During the conference there have taken place almost 40 sessions conducted by non-governmental organizations. The conference has been accompanied by the Supporting Organizations Fair and the EU Funds Information Center.

More than 50 non-governmental organizations have committed to organize various events of the 5th Polish Forum For Non-Governmental Initiatives.
Association for the Forum for Non-Governmental Initiatives managed to get backing from public institutions, private foundations and dozens
of companies.
The 5th Polish Forum For Non-Governmental Initiatives aroused the big interest of media. The Forum had a big advertising campaign, that, according
to our calculations, reached millions of people.
